Description: Adriamycin 50mg Injection contains doxorubicin, an anthracycline chemotherapy agent used to treat various types of cancer.

Contents: Each vial contains 50mg of doxorubicin hydrochloride in a sterile solution for injection.

Uses:

• Treatment of breast cancer.
• Management of lung cancer.
• Treatment of malignant lymphomas (both Hodgkin’s and non-Hodgkin’s).
• Treatment of certain types of leukemia (acute lymphoblastic leukemia, acute myeloblastic leukemia).
• Used for neuroblastoma and Wilms’ tumor in children.
• Effective against other cancers such as ovarian carcinoma, gastric carcinoma, and soft tissue sarcomas.

How it Works: Doxorubicin works by intercalating into DNA strands, inhibiting the topoisomerase II enzyme, which is crucial for DNA replication. This action disrupts the structure of DNA, leading to cell death and preventing the proliferation of cancer cells.
